“ I stopped by Teriyaki Joy Cafe for the first time to grab some takeout, and it was such a pleasant surprise! I wasn’t sure what to order at first, but I was welcomed by the nicest person —super friendly, happy, and smiling, which immediately made me feel comfortable. He helped me choose and gave some great recommendations. My food was ready in what felt like 10 minutes—super quick! And wow, he wasn’t lying about the pork being the best—it was absolutely delicious. The chicken was really good too. If you’re like me and enjoy a little heat, you can always ask for the spicy sauce on the side. Definitely worth a visit—great service and even better food! ”
“ i grew up in the pacific northwest, and this is the only place i have found so far that can fill the seattle teriyaki-shaped hole in my heart. portions are massive, sauce is incredible, service is great. ”
“ Food is so flavorful! HUGE portions, 1 can feed about 2 people, lots of seating available, people are very kind ”
“ Stopped for lunch with mom while waiting for appointment. Friendly staff, delicious food and big sized portions! ”
“ I've loved this place since it's first location in Glendale Heights. I grew up with this, definitely a hidden gem. It never disappoints , the food is SO good and the portions are great. The yakisoba is good as well, definitely try something else besides their regular chicken teriyaki!!! But it's all amazing. Especially the fried rice!! ”
“ I cannot believe it’s taken this long to find this place but it finally happened! I’ve been to this place twice this week because I was really surprised with the flavorful chicken teriyaki. I have to say that the chicken yakisoba is definitely my favorite!! Everything in it is so delicious and fresh. The portions are generous so you’ll have some to take home. I always do I will be definitely be back to keep trying everything else in the menu (if I ever get tired of the yakisoba ) ”
“ Great Japanese restaurant. They had a smaller location in Glendale Heights where I would frequently dine at. They moved to a bigger building where they still offer their tasty Asian cuisine. The spicy chicken teriyaki is my favorite order here. The chicken katsu is also a solid option. ”
“ I’ve had the teriyaki chicken, stir fry, and yakisoba here — all of it has been absolutely incredible. The quality is top-notch. For around 20, you get a huge portion that easily feels like two meals. Everything is super fresh — the vegetables are crisp and flavorful, the chicken is cooked perfectly every time, and the teriyaki sauce is spot on: rich, balanced, not too heavy. You can also get any dish spicy, and they nail the spice level — enough heat to keep it interesting without overpowering the flavors. You can really tell they care about the food they put out. Easily one of the best spots around for a satisfying, fresh meal ”
